Hello Dear Colleagues,
We are using SAP Strategy Management 10.0 SP10, application server
version is also same. We are creating scorecard metrics via BICA.
I believe we have a model size limitation problem.
We have 2950 variables (a.k.a measures in the system). When we had
above
3000 we used to have get a problem when creating a measure. It was
indicating "DAT395: Variable XXXXX_ACT had index of 5193 which is
outside
the size of allocated security map." Attached you can find the error.
(see atachment model_error)
By eliminating the variable I was able to get rid of the error.
However,
whenever a new variable is created, we were a recevieing this error.
Hence, I think, this was related with the limitation of PAS Model. We
create the models via BICA, so there are some defaults imposed by BICA.
(5000 measures, 2000 observations)
I am telling you the above error for you to understand the background
of
the error.
Right now, since I have deleted couple of KPIs, I do not receive the
above error anymore. But, I want to increase the size of the PAS model.
In order to do that, I am planning to dump this model, create another
pas
model with a bigger measure and observation numbers (sup create dat
<model_name> blocks 120000 blksize 16k variables 9000 observations
6000 )
and then load the dump into this database. Nevertheless, we can not
dump
the model right now. PAS crashes and stop working, forces me to close the program. I also believe that this is beacuse we are out of the
limits, that's why it can not even create the dump file.
By the way, the dump file is partly created however, it is not
completely
created.
So, here are my question:
- How can I get rid of this problem?
- Is there another way to increase the model limits?
- Any other recommendations?
